MTV Reality Star Passed Away from Liver Failure Complications
Kirk Medas, a well-known reality star from MTV’s Floribama Shore, has passed away at the age of 33. According to a statement made to TMZ by his father, Medas died on Friday following complications related to liver failure.
An MTV spokesperson shared their grief in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter:
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Kirk Medas, a beloved member of the Floribama Shore family. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.”

Joined the Cast in 2017
Kirk Medas was a core cast member when Floribama Shore premiered in 2017. He appeared in all four seasons before the show was eventually canceled. He starred alongside Aimee Hall, Nilsa Prowant, Jeremiah Buoni, Codi Butts, Kortni Gilson, Candace Rice, and Gus Smyrnios.

Medas also took part in a special Fear Factor crossover episode where Floribama Shore cast members competed against Jersey Shore: Family Vacation stars like Deena Nicole Cortese, Snooki, Pauly D, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. In 2022, he appeared in the comedy miniseries Everybody Hates Kyle.
A Long ICU Battle Before His Passing
Suffered from Necrotizing Pancreatitis
Prior to his death, Aimee Hall revealed on Instagram that Medas had been in the ICU for over two weeks battling necrotizing pancreatitis, a severe and life-threatening condition. She and fellow castmate Nilsa Prowant both shared a GoFundMe page to help cover his medical and related expenses.
