When Does ‘Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life’ Release on HBO and Max?

Special Release Special Release

Since Ted Lasso premiered on Apple TV+ in August 2020, viewers have gotten to know Brett Goldstein through his character Roy Kent—whether he’s running, cursing, coaching, or playing a more serious role in Shrinking Season 2. However, audiences haven’t seen the real Brett Goldstein… until now. Tonight marks the release of his debut HBO stand-up comedy special, Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life.

Before Goldstein became known for playing Roy Kent or co-creating Shrinking, he was performing stand-up comedy in the UK. Over the past two years, he’s been touring the U.S. with his latest hour-long set.

So, what can you expect from this special? Definitely a lot of f-bombs, but also topics like masculinity, love, sex, and, surprisingly, Sesame Street, according to HBO.

When Does Brett Goldstein’s Stand-up Special Release on HBO and Max?

Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life premieres tonight, April 26, at 10 p.m. ET on HBO. The special will also be available for streaming on Max at the same time.

How to Watch Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life:

If you have HBO through traditional cable, just tune in at 10 p.m. ET tonight to catch Goldstein’s stand-up special. If you don’t have HBO, you’ll need a Max subscription to watch it whenever you like.

Max offers two subscription options: $9.99/month with ads and $16.99/month without ads, with the option to subscribe via Prime Video, which is one of the easiest ways to sign up. You can also get Max as part of a bundle with Disney+ and Hulu, starting at $16.99/month.

For a more affordable live TV option, Sling TV is a great choice. You’ll need Sling’s Blue plan with a Max add-on to watch HBO live. And if you subscribe to Max through Sling, you’ll get 50% off your first month and $5 off your monthly bill after that.
