Legendary jam band Phish wrapped up their West Coast tour with a triumphant three-night residency at the iconic Hollywood Bowl, captivating fans with marathon performances and dynamic stage presence. Despite their recent exclusion from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the band drew a global crowd eager to witness their high-energy sets from April 25–27, 2025.

Each night featured two full-length sets and an extended encore, with performances clocking in at over three and a half hours. With more than four decades of history together, Phish used the weekend to tell a musical story, rich in improvisation and fan-favorite classics.

Night one opened with the 2002 hit “46 Days,” immediately engaging the audience as the sunset bathed the Bowl in golden light. A vivid light show enhanced the experience, mirroring the rhythm of songs like “Rift,” “What’s Going Through Your Mind,” and a tour debut of “Mercury.”

The second night took on a more laid-back tone, highlighting Phish’s talent for improvisation. Launching with the 1996 tune “Runaway Jim,” the set encouraged audience interaction and built intensity through extended jam sessions. Songs like “Birds of a Feather,” “Blaze On,” and “Slave to the Traffic Light” showcased the band’s musical cohesion and comfort on stage.

Night three brought the residency to a climactic close, kicking off with “The Landlady” and featuring animated dance breaks by frontman Trey Anastasio and bassist Mike Gordon. The night offered tour debuts of “Llama,” “Timber,” and high-energy renditions of staples like “The Lizards,” “Kill Devil Falls,” and “Say It to Me S.A.N.T.O.S.” Fans were treated to theatrical flair, including mid-song trampoline jumps and a dramatic nod to “2001: A Space Odyssey.”

For the encore, Phish delivered a 20-minute performance of “Fuego,” closing the weekend with an emotional and exhilarating finale.

With their Hollywood Bowl stint behind them, the band will soon head east for the next leg of their tour. Judging by the electric atmosphere in Los Angeles, many devoted fans are sure to follow them across the country to New Hampshire for the next chapter of their storied journey.
