Universal Pictures has released the final, action-packed trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, giving fans an intense glimpse at the franchise’s most dangerous dinosaurs yet. The highly anticipated film, arriving in theaters on July 2, features Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali as they fight for survival in a perilous new adventure.
In the trailer, Johansson’s character Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert, warns of the dangerous mission ahead:
“The theme park owners did experimental work, leaving only the worst ones here.”
Her team ventures to a tropical island, once home to InGen’s original lab, now teeming with deadly, genetically-engineered creatures. As Dr. Henry Loomis (Bailey) adds, “We’ve put ourselves in a place where we don’t belong, survival is a long shot,” Zora coolly responds, “That’s kind of our specialty.”
Set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the new film follows Zora as she leads a top-secret mission to secure the genetic material of the three largest dinosaurs on Earth. But things spiral out of control when her mission collides with a civilian family stranded after a deadly encounter with aquatic dinos.
The group must navigate an “isolated equatorial environment”, uncovering a sinister secret hidden for decades on the island.
Directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla, The Creator), Jurassic World Rebirth brings him back to blockbuster territory. “This is the only movie that would make me drop everything like a stone,” Edwards said in an interview, praising the original 1993 classic as a “cinematic masterpiece.”
The screenplay is penned by David Koepp, writer of the original Jurassic Park and its sequel The Lost World, marking his return to the franchise after nearly three decades.
Jurassic World Rebirth hits theaters on July 2, promising fans a return to high-stakes adventure, stunning visuals, and the most terrifying dinosaurs yet.
